[ Cheshire let himself get petted for a short time before going to stare up at the treats because those were far more important than anything else. Tarr watched the cat move on and sighed before standing up and walking over to poke around for something to drink. Sure it wasn't his house, but he had been there enough to treat it like it was. ]
Yes. She had no trouble lifting me up by my throat and throwing me around and she was a tiny little European woman dressed like a male sailor.
[ He poured himself some water and took a sip, watching the cat that was watching the bag of treats. He was kind of surprised that the other cat wasn't around, but he knew that the princess of the house tended to do her own thing because of reasons. ]
We have rotten luck with women?
[ It was barely a joke considering that both him and David dated both men and women. ]
I'm trying to figure out why me to be honest. There is nothing special about a simple fisherman.
[ Though really the smell of treats has definitely piqued Dinah's interests, she's just taking her sweet time getting there. Maybe to use Cheshire as a distraction while she goes for the treats.
They're weird that way.
David snorts at the comment, though. ]
Maybe. Or at least our old selves or whatever did. I'm doing just fine right now, thank you very much.
But can't say. You mentioned getting an old-time portrait with you two and a couple others, right?
[ Cats know how to tag-team just like humans, though these two were not above selling each other out over winning the favor of their humans. Cheshire moved to block the other cat, or at least to make her appearance more apparent to the humans standing around. ]
Something like that, yes. [ He had almost forgotten about it, but he took out the folded photo from his wallet and handed it over. The portrait was large filling up one wall and showing a ship flying its colors proudly, men of all races standing in pirate finery with a woman sitting on a looted throne in the center. Tarr was conspicuous in his lack of finery, his position at her feet, and the hand she has wrapped around his neck. ] Most of them look like models, so I thought it was just some weird thing, except that's the person who dragged me to the ship.
