Okay, I can explain. She found me at the gym on one of my training days, offered to see how her technique and form were, and gave her some tips. It kinda went from there.
Especially since it was nice to teach someone actually willing at the time.
"Actually willing". Believe me, I understand that motivation.
I worked together with Minako last month, and while I can't say I was paying much attention to what kickboxing she was doing versus the use of whatever the other ability it is that she has
[you know, where she pulls out a gun and shoots herself in the head and out pops a dragon or a guy riding a peacock or lord knows what else...]
but you'll be pleased to know that she held her own.
Speaking of last month though, how'd you fare?

I can at least say that Yoon-sung's gotten better about listening to me when it comes time for self-defense lessons but it's still a work in progress.
But good to know. I didn't end up getting teleported or anything but we were on our toes for most of last month. I was trying to do what I could in keeping people safe on this side of things, helped look into a little bit of research. Reminded me of my college days, a bit.
There is that at least. It will no doubt always be a work in progress, if he's anything like Laurent.
It's probably for the best that you were able to stay behind. We had a little too much excitement, on our end of things. Do you know what it feels like to be a bodyguard and to know that your charge is about to cross a near-bottomless chasm on monkey bars, and there's nothing you can do about it? Because I do now. It's not an experience I would like to repeat.
Probably. Unless this whole thing with Retrospec reveals he's got super strength or something. Who knows.

Now wouldn't that come in handy. Though I suppose after a time it would be rather inconvenient, to find yourself out of a job once your charge becomes more successful at defending himself than you are.
And thanks. Yeah, he got through it just fine. Did a trick with a rope, got himself across. Nearly scared me half to death, and I think he frightened himself a little with the gravity of what might have happened as well. Pretty sure we're all just glad to have everything quieter, this month, though classes are starting now instead. Never a dull moment, as they say.
Though they are rather dull. Business lectures. Too bad he couldn't have a different major.

I'd honestly take classes over everything that happened last month, though I get where you're coming from. I'm just lucky that Yoon-sung had graduated when I ended up as his personal bodyguard. I would've probably been bored to tears with business and computer science lectures.

I foresee myself spending a lot of time on my phone. Maybe I'll invest in ebooks or something, who knows. Something tells me if I wind up spending too much time on Retrospec instead I may come to regret it...

Outside the weird text mishaps, it's been mostly just trying to get back into some sort of routine again. And dealing with whatever memories as they come. Friend of mine from when I was in college and one of my exes are on the app too now, so dealing with that on top of everything else.
